UNDP Cambodia photo contest

UN Day is just around the corner and we’re having a photo contest to celebrate! The theme of the contest is “What Do the Sustainable Development Goals Mean to You?”
undpAll you have to do is pick one of the 17 SDG Categories (including No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Good Health or Well-Being) and then take a photo that shows what it means to you.

By participating, you’re not only helping to raise awareness about the important Global Goals for Sustainable Development, you’re also getting a chance to win some awesome prizes!

The last day for submitting photos to the contest is October 16 (5 PM) and then there will be a voting period. Not feeling creative? You can still participate in the contest by sharing and voting for the best photo!


Top 17: Winners will receive a “goodie bag” containing assorted SDG and UN-branded merchandise and various UN publications. They will also have the opportunity to attend a public photography exhibition on 24 October 2016, where their photo will be printed out and displayed during the UN Day event. The short essay (optional) submitted with their entry will also be displayed with their photo during the exhibition.Top 3: Along with the “goodie bag” (see above) and being featured in the photo exhibition, winners will each receive a new camera. As well, they will be invited to receive an award at a special ceremony at the UN Day event on 24 October 2016. Here they will have the opportunity to present on their submission – the story and creative process behind it – and answer questions from attendees at the exhibition. They may also have their photos used and displayed in various UN promotional material and potentially in publications. Winners’ submissions may also be used to illustrate other communications material, including but not limited to wallpapers, reports, and photos available for distribution to the press.
